I'm not great on computers, but I couldn't find a peavey page with serial number data for a Nashville 400.
I have one that is 00-05590373 MFG LOC-04
Anyone know what all that means? Year? Other info?
Thanks

I don't know of any link to serial info, but the first two digits, are the year. In this case, 2000.

The first two numbers are usually the year, but was the NV400 still in production in 2000?

A friend got one from the last production run and if I remember correctly it was before 2000.

I believe the first was 1983 (not positive). Mine is an 84. It would really surprise me if the NV400 was in production for 17 years.

There is not an accessible s/n search on our website. Actually, the Nashville 400 was in production since 1983, so apparently you own one of the early models.

By his first post, the number he posted appears to be a serial number. Mine says 4A-{8 more numbers} similar to his. I was told that the 4A meant the first quarter, or maybe they said month, of 1984. I bought it pretty early in 84, not more than 6 months after I used one in a show in Nashville in Octocer of 83, that the backline was furnished by Peavey or a dealer. The 00 at the beginning is what puzzles me.
Mike.. When was the last NV400 produced? By the way, it's nice to see you active on here again.

The 4A usually indicates 1984 'amplifier'.

Hi Mike Brown,
I still have a Peavey Nashville 400 with serial number: 7A-02953949. Can I assume that this amp was built in 1987?
It's an 'Export 220-V' amp (I'm in the Netherlands) and it also has a '878' number printed behind that. I have no idea what that means.
On the bottom of the serial nr. plate there's a handwritten thing in black marker saying' DB 71375'although the second 7 could be a 1.
Lastly, from an (PDF) article you wrote for Peavey I understand that my amp has a 1501-
4 ohm version speaker. Is that correct since it doesn't have any sticker on it?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

The 1501 has a smooth cone and the 1502 has a ribbed cone.
Donny and Lane. Good points. I have always used the high gain input with every guitar I have had during the time I have owned this amp. Never noticed any distortion, and I have played in bands that are so loud, they would drown out a jet's noise. I never even thought about the lo-gain input. If I ever gat to play out again, I'll have to take it for a test drive.
